Dmitry Dergunov



Dmitry Vasilevich Dergunov was born in Lipetsk on 29th of January 1961.

 

1968-1971    Lived in Japan, where he started a Soviet School (Tokyo).

1971-1976    Studying at school, interested in music and easel art (lessons at the art-studio under auspices of people’s artist of USSR Sorokin S.S.), Lipetsk.

1976-1978    Entered Saratov College of Art, Department of Decoration.

1978            Was transferred to the Department of Painting of Saratov College of Art.

1980            Graduated with excellence from Saratov College of Art.

1980-1986    Studying at the Department of Painting, studio of professor E.E. Moissenko, State Academic Institute of painting, sculpture and architecture named after I.E. Repin of Russian Academy of Arts (St. Petersburg).

1987            Was awarded the Gold Medal for  the graduation art-work by Ministry of Culture of USSR.

1988 -1990   Worked in the creative workshop of monumental painting of Academy of Arts under auspices of professor A.A. Mylnikov(St. Petersburg).

 

Since 1988 D. Dergunov became a teacher of Department of Drawing, Faculty of Painting of the institute named after I.E. Repin under USSR Academy of Art (St. Petersburg).

He is working together with American galleries since 1993

At the present time Dmitry Dergunov is a  lecturer of Department of Drawing, Faculty of Painting of the institute named after I.E. Repin under USSR Academy of Art(St. Petersburg).

Artist lives in Saint Petersburg, takes part in numerous native and foreign art-exhibitions and projects. His works are kept in many private and state collections of Russia, USA, England, Germany, France, Japan, Lithuania.
