The collaboration between Hitchcock, The Master of Suspense, and Dali, the Surrealist Master

Dali was hired in 1944 by Alfred Hitchcock to create a dream sequence for his film Spellbound. In response to Hitchcock’s expectation on the sequence, Dali created five oil paintings and over a hundred sketches as references for the sequence. The incredible perspective and bizarre images in the scene created by Dali amazed every audiences. A lot of contemporary designs took it inspiration and reference from it.
