Links of Thought – Lam Tian Xing, Wong Sau Ching, Christopher Ku and Chen Fangyuan Joint Exhibition



        Cheer Bell Gallery will be holding its new location opening exhibition, Links of Thought - Wong Sau Ching, Chen Fangyuan, Christopher Ku and Lam Tian Xing Joint Exhibition. The exhibition features 30 oil and ink art by 4 renowned Hong Kong artists, and a album to commemorate this event.

        The title of Links of Thought is derived from the aesthetic feature of 4 artists’ works: exquisite brushstroke, vibrant colour, and most importantly, distinctive ideology. Every piece of work from them is a unique journey of art. Their artworks dazzle us with colors, layers and symbols, sometimes colliding with each other, sometimes merging together harmonically, leaving us a memorable journey of art.

 

Artist introduction:

1,     Lam Tian Xing was born in Fuzhou, China, in 1963. He immigrated to Hong Kong in 1984, and returned to China to continue his studies and graduated from the Chinese Painting Department of Beijing Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1990. He is a full time artist in Hong Kong. Lam is the chairman of the Hong Kong International Art Association. He has held more than 50 solo exhibitions internationally, and invited to more than 100 joint exhibitions.

2,     Wong Sau Ching was born in 1954. Wong is a famous oil painter with residential background in the United Kingdom, Visual Artists, Vice Chairman and Art Managing Director of Hong Kong International Artist Association. He is the Artist-in-Residence and Consultant of Hong Kong Arts Development Council, Hong Kong Education Bureau and Hong Kong Ballet Team. He is the Art Managing Director of Hong Kong International Artists Association, Director of Hong Kong Art Commune and Chairman of 《Res Artist》 Chinese Branch.

3,    Christopher Ku was born in Hong Kong in 1957. At nineteen he was sent to school in Great Britain, entering the Gray’s School of Art. He graduated with a Master degree from Royal College of Art in 1990. After graduation, Ku went back north to Edinburgh to nurture his personal style. Ku now resides in Hong Kong.

4,   Chen Fangyuan was born in 1955. Member of China Artists Association, Professor in Beijing Normal University, Zhuhai, Hong Kong Arts Development Council Examiner, Director of the Calligraphy and Painting Study Association of Hong Kong Fukienese. Chen graduated from Fujian Normal University (Art Faculty) and China Central Academy of Fine Arts (Mural Painting Discipline). His artworks are widely collected by Chinese, American, Taiwanese and Hong Kong museums and collectors.
